Levi/Rivaille x Reader - Vast Memories AU Part 1

The winter's first snow fell slowly from the ashed colored skies. Warm breaths were easily seen due to the chills outside. Cheeks were turning into a plump red. It was getting frigid. (Name) was getting ready to deliver a fresh batch of cookies to her family. She zipped up her new (f/c) winter coat and slipped on her warm (f/c) gloves. Next, she plopped on her (f/c) beanie and wrapped her (f/c) scarf on. She decided that she was settled and grabbed her box full of cookies, walking out into the cold streets.

Reader's P.O.V

You walked across the street, trying to avoid the winter's harsh cold winds that blew by frequently. You kept on walking, despite the cold. Right now your objective was to avoid the cold and deliver the fresh batch of cookies. Each step you made brought you closer to your destination. You noticed that the floor began piling up with snow. You knew you had to deliver the cookies before the snow began to stack up.

And so, you increased your pace, quickly walking among the street. You admired the small snowflakes steadily falling from the gray clouds. They were a beautiful sight to look at. While staring at the vast snowflakes, you hadn't noticed the figure walking in front of you, texting on his phone.

You abruptly snapped out of your thoughts when you had bumped into each other, making you fall back and landing onto your bottom.

"Oi, watch where you're goi-" The man said in a cold voice as he stopped and stared at you. You rubbed your forehead and thankfully the box didn't fall out of your had.
You looked up at the man and your eyes broadened. Could it be?

He seemed so familiar and you felt a name at the tip of your tongue. He extended his hand to you and muttered a sorry. You accepted his hand shakily.

"Le, Levi?" You questioned. Could it really be him? The man had the same features as Levi did. You wanted to scream. You had been having dreams of him and vast, vivid memories, giving you headaches numerous times. His eyes widened.

"Is that you, (Name)?" You felt tears beginning to prick at your eyes. You nodded slowly. It really was him. Lance Corporal Levi. You immediately hugged him. Maybe meeting him will stop the horrid nightmares about these huge beasts that devour humans.

He hugged back reluctantly and cautiously as if he let go, you would be separated from him again.  He stroked your (h/c) tresses. You quietly sobbed into his shoulder. "Levi.." You quietly whispered.

It really was him. He was indeed alive and well.
